Join us here at The Painter Potter for a fun, intuitive beginner’s workshop that will teach you how to safely and effectively build your skills on the pottery wheel.

IN THIS 3-HOUR BEGINNER’S WORKSHOP YOU WILL

Practice different ways of centering clay and learn what works best for you.

Explore the most effective way for you to “open” the clay - this is the first hole you make in the center of the clay and the beginning of the inside of your pot.

Learn 3 possible ways of “pulling the walls”. This is the way we lift the clay into the wall of the pot.

Learn how to compress the rim and bottom of your pot.

Learn how to shape your cup or bowl.

Learn how to thoroughly clean up and keep the space safe and ready for your next time and for your fellow studio mates.
