Join us for the 5th Annual Pellicano Vineyard Sunset Dinner: A Trip through Tuscany

Pellicano Vineyard Events are typically not just meals or pairings, but experiences. Many times, these experiences are planned and inspired by an actual experience that we enjoyed while traveling for Vineyard business. Each year, we enhance our main events to make them even more of an experience to remember.
This year's Sunset Dinner is inspired by a trip that we took with Lorenzo, our Tuscan wine maker to a hillside restaurant overlooking Florence. It was a beautiful night, and we enjoyed a truly memorable Tuscan Dinner featuring Steak Florentine. Tonight, we will re-create that wonderful night for our guests.
As is tradition, we will enjoy a meal together outside on The Vineyard lawn near the vines. The Sunset Dinner will be an open-air event (no tent, weather permitting). In the event of rain, dinner will be moved to an area of The Vineyard that has covered space, but still has the feel of an open-air event.
This year's dinner theme will be....
"A Trip Through Tuscany"!
It seems only fitting that we celebrate Tuscany after our recent May trip to Tuscany to visit Florence and Lorenzo at our partner vineyard in Vinci where we tasted the new Pellicano Vineyard Prosecco, Brunello, and Rose'.
This year's dinner will consist of 8 courses/experiences. As is tradition, we will be seated at one long table, just like the Sunset meals in Tuscany and the main meal will be served plated at the table. Some courses will be interactive and require movement to a certain area of The Vineyard. There will be live music by The Formula Italian Band & dancing. This will truly be an elevated experience.
Note: Due to the size and complex nature of this event, no accommodations will be made for special seating. Vineyard staff will seat you as you arrive at the table and if members of your group have not arrived, please let the host know and they will be seated with you. Every seat will be taken, and our hosts will seat, so there is no need to rush to be seated.
Saturday, July 26th, 5pm.
Aperitivo and mingling will begin at 5pm.
Dinner will begin about a little after 6pm.
Important: Please check in with the host in the Tasting Room and you will be directed to the Aperitivo Course.
When ready to be seated, please proceed to the Dinner table and the Dinner host will seat you.
The Courses:
Aperitivo (1st Course): The Wine Window experience: Join us from 5-6pm for an Aperitivo drink in our Tuscan Village where we have an actual Florentine Wine Window.
Insalata (2nd Course): Panzanella, a rustic vibrant Tuscan summer salade.
Antipasti (3rd Course): Schiacciata, Tuscan flatbread brushed with olive oil and coarse salt.
Primi (4th Course): Ribollita, Tuscan Comfort food of cannellini beans and kale or arugula.
Secondi (5th Course): Bistecca alla Fiorentina, the strip steak part of the T-bone, seared on both sides and served sliced and rare. Note: Due to the size of this event, we cannot accommodate individual desires for steak temperature. All steaks will be cooked rare to medium rare. After everyone is served, guests may approach the grill chefs for additional doneness, time and weather permitting.
Contorni (6th Course): San Marzano Tomato, ricotta smear, basil fresh, salt.
Dolce (7th Course): Cantucci, Tuscan almond cookies much like a biscotti.
Dolce (8th Course): Digestive of espresso, Frangelico or Sambuca.
Cost of this experience is $95 + NYS Sales Tax
Gratuity not included.
This is 21 years of age and older event.
In addition to the Wine Window Aperitivo drink and the Digestive drink, a glass of Chianti or Vermentino from our Tuscan Collection will also be included with dinner.
A limited number of bottles of imported Italian bottles of water intended to be shared will be on the tables for dinner, tap water will also be available in the Tasting Room.
Cash bar available in the tasting Room for beer, wine, bourbon and soft drinks if additional drinks are desired in addition to the included drinks.
