Sheep Shearing Days
Friday, May 2nd and Friday, May 9th, 2025
9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Students and families are invited to celebrate the arrival of spring with the annual tradition of sheep shearing. This student-focused event will show how pioneers turned wool into clothing and will feature hands-on activities and immersive learning experiences with Appalachian artisans, educators, and musicians.

Groups of 15 or more must fill out a REGISTRATION FORM to reserve their spot. They can do so here: https://www.museumofappalachia.org/sheep-shearing-days/
