#FANEROMENI 🎶
Στις 3 Ιουλίου η παράσταση «Αν εν κακόν τζαι ξόρις’ το: γητειές και βασκανίες» ένα πρωτότυπο, πολυδιάστατο καλλιτεχνικό δρώμενο που εξερευνά και αναδεικνύει το φαινόμενο των γητειών και των βασκανιών στην Κύπρο, όπως αυτές εφαρμόζονταν παραδοσιακά, αλλά και όπως μεταλλάσσονται και επιβιώνουν στη σύγχρονη κοινωνία.
Η μουσική του συνθέτη, ποιητή και ερευνητή της κυπριακής παράδοσης, Αδάμου Κατσαντώνη, θα χρησιμοποιηθεί με λούπες που παραπέμπουν στις επαναλήψεις των γητειών, καθώς και με ζωντανές εκτελέσεις επί σκηνής. Η Αναστασία Βορκά, λυρικοκολορατούρα σοπράνο και ο νεαρός τενόρος και χορευτής Θωμάς Δασκαλάκης θα δημιουργήσουν μια ατμόσφαιρα μαγική και ενδιαφέρουσα, δίνοντας μορφή στις ιδιαίτερες πρακτικές του παρελθόντος.

On 3 July, the performance “If it’s evil, let it be exiled: spells and baskanies” is an original, multidimensional artistic event that explores and highlights the phenomenon of baskanies in Cyprus, as they were traditionally practiced, but also as they are mutated and survive in modern society.
The music of the composer, poet and researcher of Cypriot tradition Adamos Katsantonis will be used with loops referring to the repetitions of the ceremonies, as well as with live performances on stage. Anastasia Vorka, lyric coloratura soprano and young tenor and dancer Thomas Daskalakis will create a magical and interesting atmosphere, giving form to the practices of the past.
