Join us for Here Come the Cypriots, an immersive cultural event that brings history to life through fashion, performance, and street life. In collaboration with BE OPEN, CVAR presents a live catwalk of garments spanning Cyprus’s Ottoman, colonial, and modern periods—modelled by local schoolchildren.
The evening also revives the colourful world of traditional street sellers, celebrating the island’s rich past. This unique event bridges tradition and creativity, memory and identity, for a new generation.

Το Κέντρο Εικαστικών Τεχνών και Έρευνας (CVAR), σε συνεργασία με το BE OPEN, παρουσιάζει την εκδήλωση Here Come the Cypriots—μια βιωματική εμπειρία που ζωντανεύει την ιστορία της Κύπρου μέσα από τη μόδα και τη λαϊκή ζωή.
Έφηβοι μαθητές και μαθήτριες θα παρουσιάσουν ενδυμασίες από την Οθωμανική περίοδο, τη Βρετανική αποικιοκρατία και τη σύγχρονη εποχή, ενώ παράλληλα θα ζωντανέψουν οι παραδοσιακές φιγούρες των πλανόδιων εμπόρων, προσφέροντας μια νέα ματιά στη σύνδεση πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς και δημιουργικότητας.
