Join us at Quay Arts this summer for creative workshops, delicious food and a whole lot of fun!
Working with local artists, story tellers and improv experts your day will be filled with opportunities to develop your talents, build your confidence and make new friends.
For children and young people from 8 – 16; there’s something for everyone!
TUE 5th AUG – Ages 8-12
CREATE A CHARACTER, TELL A STORY- Make your own puppet from a well-known classic story and, with your own twist, re-tell it with your popsicle characters.
MON 11th AUG – Ages 8-12
INTRO TO IMPROV with Writer & Performer Andrew Butcher
Improvisation builds confidence, teamwork, engages imagination, curiosity and play! It’s fun, exciting and silly! We’ll play games, laugh lots and practise active listening and open-mindedness.
TUE 12th AUG – Ages 8-12
INTO THE WOODS- Make a woodland scene in a box with all natural materials. Use it as scenery for storytelling, or as a piece of natural art.
MON 18th AUG – Ages 13-16

TUE 19th AUG – Ages 8-12
THE HAT OF TALES: Storytelling Workshop – Enter a world where imagination takes the lead! In this playful storytelling workshop, young people will explore a box full of costumes and curious objects, each one waiting to spark a story.
All sessions are followed by lunch and a workshop with local artist Trudie Wilson. All sessions 10.30am- 3pm.
