Decorative Paper Portfolios - Two Day Workshop by Kae Carlstedt-Duke

In this two-day workshop you will be experimenting with two methods of creating decorative papers. You will then use these papers to cover a portfolio case for loose documents.

On day one you will learn two methods of creating decorative paper. Suminagashi is a Japanese marbling technique using only ink, water and the movement of air to create beautiful designs. On day two you will learn bookbinding foundation skills and make an A3 size portfolio case covered with your decorative papers and book cloth.
