Spoon Carving Workshop - Full Day

- Have you ever wanted to carve a spoon from scratch? Join us in the woods for this full day workshop.
- Learn to carve a cooking spoon beginning with a branch section, carving it all the way down to finished spoon.
- Learn axe techniques to remove material efficiently, moving on to a straight carving knife to further shape our spoons, followed by the curved hook knife to carve out the bowls.
- Becoming a part of the making process with an everyday item such as a spoon is a great way to connect with the organic material of wood and appreciate the natural world.
- It’s a good opportunity to disconnect for a day and slow down in the woods, listening to the once familiar sounds of hand tools carving wood.
- Ages 16+ (all ages below 18 to be accompanied by an adult)
- Suitable for both beginners and intermediate carvers.
