June 27th practice specific info:
*We will start with SR L1 test run throughs in preparation for testing. However, every team is welcome to do a run through, regardless of intent to test - SR skills are life skills!
*We will have a new indoor area with a surface appropriate for weight pull. It’s getting too hot to be able to count on being outside.
*Potluck! The club will provide a hot, main dish and drinks, feel free to bring a cold side or sweet treat to share.
✨ANNOUNCING✨ the DAREDEVIL GRC SCHOLARSHIP FUND! We want to give a huge shout out to Tessa Anderson for making a generous donation to kick off our scholarship fund! If anyone experiences a financial barrier to attending practice nights, or would like to contribute to the fund, please reach out!
General info:
The building will open at 4:30 and we’ll start at about 5:00, but it’s a pretty casual night, and we can accommodate folks joining a bit later.
Open to all skill levels and breeds! We’ll have help available for dogs and owners who are new to the drive sports. GRC is a “reactive” dog friendly organization, and reactive dogs are welcome to all trainings. We’ll talk about any specific needs dogs have before we start, and remember to advocate for your dog!
There is space in the building to crate dogs, bring a crate or plan to car crate
Should go without saying, but do not let dogs meet, and assume all dogs are no touch unless otherwise advised. Dogs must be on a 6’ leash unless working
Dogs will be kept separate while participating in drive activities
Feel free to bring multiple dogs
Please message Jamie Sundstrom Halverson with any questions.
We request a $15 donation (cash or Venmo, paid the night of) to participate in training events.
