Bend The Rules: Machine Sewing is a hands-on sewing camp perfect for middle and early high schoolers who want to learn the basics of using a sewing machine while making fun, functional projects for themselves and their homes. Campers will craft a simple pillow cover, a stylish box-style shirt or tank, and a versatile beach or shopping tote bag. They'll also dive into the art of "thrift flipping" and visible mending to refresh and personalize their wardrobe! Age Range: Entering grades 4- 9 (as of fall 2025)
Dates: July 14 - 18, 2025
Time: 1 - 4 PM Daily
Location: Bloomfield Library, New Bloomfield, PA
Cost: $114 per camper
What to Bring:
Two clothing items to "flip" or mend
Fabric for the box-style shirt/tank (details will be provided closer to camp)
Important to note: A signed liability waiver is required for sewing machine use. This waiver will be available to sign the first day of camp.
