Cooking with Carmela: Round Challah

Join us at the J for our annual hands-on challah making experience just in time for Rosh Hashanah!

In this special take-and-bake event, you'll learn to make traditional challah dough from scratch and master the art of braiding beautiful loaves. We'll be creating special round challahs, symbolizing the cycle of the year and our hopes for a sweet new year ahead.

After mixing, kneading and shaping your dough together, you'll take your braided dough home to bake in your own oven, filling your kitchen with the wonderful aroma of fresh challah. Whether you're a beginner or looking to perfect your technique, Carmela will guide you through each step of this beloved tradition.
