September Star Gazing and Laser Shows

When the sun goes down, the night sky lights up at the Virginia Living Museum!

Join us after hours for stargazing through high-powered telescopes and an unforgettable lineup of laser light shows in the Abbitt Planetarium. Whether you’re here to explore the constellations or rock out to a sky-synced soundtrack, there’s something for everyone.

Stargazing:
As the sky darkens, our astronomy experts guide you through Virginia’s night sky—spot planets, star clusters, and seasonal constellations from our observation deck.

Telescopes either in Abbitt Observatory or Conservation Garden depending on weather forecast.

Planetarium (available for additional coast):

5:00 PM – Virginia Skies

Laser Shows (available for additional cost):

6:00 PM – Laser Prince
7:00 PM – Laser Rock
8:30 PM – Laser Metallica
10:00 PM – Pink Floyd’s The Wall
