Zane Author Talk and Book Signing

Newport News Public Library will present an Author Talk and Book Signing with national bestselling author Zane on Saturday, May 17, 2025, 11 a.m. - 12:40 p.m., at the Main Street Library (110 Main Street).

Kristina LaFerne “Zane” Roberts is the New York Times Bestselling Author of more than three dozen titles, the Publisher of Strebor Books, an imprint of Simon and Schuster, and an Executive Producer, Director, Scriptwriter, Instructor, and Philanthropist. She is the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions, including an NAACP Award. She was recently named as one of the 100 Top African American Authors by USA Today and received a Black Women In Media Award in November 2020. She has published more than 900 titles by 120 other authors and now plans to give life to other voices when it comes to television and film production.

The film based on her book Addicted was number one on opening weekend when it was theatrically released by Lionsgate in 2014. She had two successful series on Cinemax and has a podcast. Originally from the Washington, D.C. area, she relocated to Atlanta ten years ago to take advantage of “The Hollywood of the South.”
