Your nervous system is always working behind the scenes—regulating your sense of safety, connection, and response to the world around you. Sometimes it keeps you grounded and engaged; other times it moves you into states of fight, flight, or shutdown.
In this 4-week experiential course, we’ll explore the nervous system through the lens of Polyvagal Theory—offering simple, somatic tools to help you shift out of stress and into greater balance.
This experiential series offers you the space to slow down, reconnect with your body, and gently shift out of survival mode into deeper safety, connection and presence.
You’ll learn how to:
Understand how your nervous system responds to stress, trauma and safety
Identify patterns of holding, tension and survival responses in your body
Shift from states of stress, anxiety or collapse into regulation and connection
Build somatic resources and tools to return to when life feels overwhelming
Develop your own personalised self-regulation toolkit
Interweaving Lucinda’s expertise in Kundalini, yoga therapy, somatic psychotherapy, Polyvagal Theory, Gabor Maté’s Compassionate Inquiry, and current studies in Somatic Experiencing, this course combines Kundalini Yoga, meditation, mantra and nervous system education to support embodied healing and transformation.
You’ll be guided through practices that restore balance and regulation using movement, sound, breath and somatic awareness — all informed by over a decade of trauma-sensitive experience.
Each week you’ll explore:
Somatic release practices to gently move stored tension and stress
The role of the felt sense — tuning into your inner sensory landscape to reconnect with a sense of 'home' in the body
Grounding, resourcing and the felt sense — learning to notice and expand small moments of goodness, safety or ease in the body
Bite-sized nervous system education — understand how your mind and body collaborate in stress responses
Vagal toning tools — engage your vagus nerve and discover how an anxious mind cannot exist in a calm body
Kriya (movement) — intentional sequences to support regulation
Breathwork (pranayama) — practices to calm or energise
Sacred sound, mantra and rhythm — including planetary gong and sound baths
Meditation and mudra (hand gestures) — to anchor your practice and support focus
Practices to access rest, play and joy — exploring what truly nourishes your body and spirit
No experience is needed. You don’t need to be flexible or strong.
Just come as you are — with curiosity, openness and a willingness to explore your body’s innate capacity to heal.
ALL of you is welcome.
