THE VISION:

• escalating challenges to private interests bent on destorying our democracy and planet. Our original play in current development, The Assembly, has drawn the attention of Wall Street monolith BlackRock and seeks to engage thousands of New Yorkers in a live exercise of direct democracy
• level up from script readings, workshops, and lightly staged shows to FULL SCALE PRODUCTIONS
• expanding our reach: from in-person audiences in the tens and hundreds to the THOUSANDS; from online audiences in the thousands to HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS
• helping make climate a top tier focus of entertainment and global politics, and fighting authoritarianism

More about us:

Named after the 6th extinction, we began in Chicago in 2021 with 25 events over 10 days: play readings with Nobel-nominated peace activists , films, urban gardening, children's pageants and protests.

We then moved to New York and moved our focus to producing stories and entertainment where we were seeing the broadest hope of lasting impact.

We last did an Earth Day run of our ongoing comedy show, HAHApocalypse partnered with Yellow Dot, the studio of Adam McKay (Don't Look Up, SNL) feat. headliner Ronnie Chieng (The Daily Show). In December we workshopped our original play The Assembly directed by Jess Slaght (The Public Theater) with projections by Oscar nom Lydia Dean Pilcher (Cradle Will Rock, Darjeeling Limited). Last June we spurred a reading of An Enemy of the People with Theater of War starring Bill Murray and Jay O Sanders and our founder, where he also spoke alongside NASA scientist Peter Kalmus.
