About the Ridge Ramblers:
Hailing from the heart of Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley, The Ridge Ramblers are a newly formed Old-Time string band blending traditional country and bluegrass with rich harmonies and a love for Appalachian roots music. The band came together after Lizzie Cahalin returned home from her studies in the Bluegrass, Old-Time and Roots Music Studies program at East Tennessee State University. Joining forces with Perry Blosser, local musician who is known as a great collaborator with other musicians and projects in the area and also works with rising country star Rebecca Porter and fierce Old-Time and Bluegrass musician Ben Miller, formerly of the Mutton Busters string band and owner of Valley Pike Music shop.
All three members are seasoned multi-instrumentalists who swap between fiddle, guitar, banjo, and mandolin—and all three sing, creating a sound that’s both dynamic and deeply rooted. With a mix of heartfelt songs, and driving dance tunes, The Ridge Ramblers offer up a timeless sound with a fresh spirit.
