Join us Sunday morning at Plant Haus Market for a guided, hands-on bioactive terrarium workshop led by Detritus & Decay. Recreate Mother Earth's natural systems in a closed container to take home.
Tickets are sold per project, so feel free to bring a friend to work on a terrarium with you at no extra cost!
Your ticket will include plants, soil, insects (aka "the cleanup crew"), and instruction, as well as a goody bag with additional care information and some merch!
You're welcome to bring your own decor items like crystals or small stones from home, or you can purchase some from Plant Haus Market for a truly personalized experience.
For your terrarium vessel, you have two options:
1. Detritus & Decay will provide extra large glass vessels for those who choose the "glass included" option.
2. You may also bring your own container from home for a reduced ticket price! For those who choose the "BYO vessel" option, you may bring a glass container of any shape or style as long as it's around a half gallon in size, has a lid, and can accommodate you reaching inside.
During this workshop, we'll go over how to choose a proper terrarium vessel, techniques of soil layering and terrarium plant choice, and terrarium aftercare.
This class is the perfect opportunity to test your green thumb, learn something new, and create your very own miniature ecosystem, complete with a clean-up crew of isopods and springtails.
Suitable for most ages. No experience necessary.
You're welcome to bring any snacks or beverages of your choosing to all of our classes.
