CALLING ALL NEW HAVENERS! I NEED YOUR SUPPORT 🙏🏾🔥
This Tuesday at 6 PM at New Haven City Hall (165 Church St), I’ll be at a zoning hearing asking for approval to place a directional sign on a privately-owned building facing the highway—so folks can actually find Lit New Haven from the road.
Here’s why this matters:
✅ Lit New Haven is the only dispensary in the city owned and operated by a New Haven native—me.
✅ I’ve hired a full team of New Haven residents—many of whom are formerly incarcerated, from low-income households, and directly impacted by the War on Drugs.
✅ We serve medical cannabis patients and adult-use customers alike, and easy navigation to our shop is essential—especially for those who rely on us for their health.
✅ We operate with a Black Wall Street mindset—for us, by us.
✅ We’re actively building partnerships with other local businesses right here in the Haven—circulating our dollars and our love back into our community.
✅ Our social equity plan is already at work, supporting community programs like Get Em Boy Boxing, St. Matthews Free Will Baptist Church Scholarship Fund, and City Youth initiatives.
The dispensary closest to us already has a sign visible from the highway. I’m simply asking for the same opportunity to thrive and to direct customers to a dispensary that’s rooted in justice and community healing.
If we’re going to keep employing our people, giving back, and growing with our city, we need to be seen.
I would be so grateful for anyone willing to come out and show support—whether that’s speaking during the hearing or just showing up in solidarity.
