If you have completed a few sewing projects and are ready to step into making clothing, this workshop is for you! During the 3-hour workshop, students will sew a tiered skirt with POCKETS (!!!) and an elastic waistband.
Students will learn:
-Self-drafting basics
-Gathering
-Pockets!
-Serging (Optional)
All tools (including sewing machines) are provided. Please bring 2.5-3 yards of fabric for your skirt. Elastic will be provided.
Come prepared to learn and create your own project in a day!
Instructor Bio: Avery first learned to sew at 7 years old and enjoys various types of crafting such as sewing, ceramics, knitting, and 3D printing. She is currently a graduate student at Vanderbilt University and has been a Make Nashville member since 2022.
