Ales for Anteaters

Who doesn't love a giant anteater?
Make plans to join us on June 19 from 6 to 8 pm at Ankrolab Brewing Company for ALES FOR ANTEATERS!

Dr. Arnaud Desbiez, the founder of the Anteaters & Highways project is flying in from Brazil, so what better time to brew a custom batch of Anteater Ale and enjoy a caipirinha or two. $1 from each will go to the Anteaters and Highways Project in Brazil that helps make roads safer for giant anteaters. Plus there will be a 50/50 and Pick-A-Prize and more. Arnaud will also do a mini-lecture "on tap" at 6:30 so you can learn more about this impactful initiative.

Arnaud is a truly extraordinary conservationist who has been featured in a BBC/PBS special and numerous worldwide media outlets. Naples Zoo has supported his conservation efforts for over a decade. Our Director of Conservation, Tim Tetzlaff, joined Arnaud in Washington DC last fall when he was awarded the Kiessling Prize for International Conservation. We have also been to the field with him and his team including wildlife veterinarian Danilo Kluyber. Danilo was the first full time field staff person Naples Zoo started funding ten years ago. We're now up to 30 full time field staff fully funded by Naples Zoo in six countries.
