Located in Makueni County, about 140 km from Nairobi on your way to Wote from Emali, just adjacent to Kalamba market in Makueni County. The famous Nzaui Hill is one of the landmarks in Makueni County and the larger South Eastern Kenya. It is also famed as one of the tallest rocks in Africa.
It stands at about 1829M(6,000ft)above sea level. The trail is 20km long and rated moderately difficult, taking 6-8 hours to complete, depending on your fitness level.
The Nzaui Hills are under a reserve managed by Kenya Forest Services (KFS). Besides Hiking, Nzaui Hills is a water tower, and hence, they are part of the Nzaui Hill Ecosystem Conservation plan.
