Get ready for some radio waves, fellowship, and real-world communications skills!
We’re excited to share that the Tipton Amateur Radio Society (TARS) is participating in the ARRL Field Day — a global amateur radio communications event happening this Saturday, June 28–29 at Poplar Park in Munford (located behind the fire station). ��
CERT members — this is your chance to:
� Explore the world of Ham Radio
� Witness and participate in live contacts with operators around the world
� Learn how to earn your entry-level license
� Connect with fellow emergency preparedness enthusiasts
� Discuss the Ham Radio Merit Badge with experienced radio operators and scout leaders
� Communications start at 1 PM — come by, learn, ask questions, or just observe and soak in the waves of knowledge. Snacks, camaraderie, and hands-on learning await!
Ham Radio is an essential part of disaster communications — come see it in action, meet local operators, and consider how this skill can enhance your role in CERT.
