Flowers, Colors, & Lines: A Mixed Media Abstraction Workshop presented by Art Mart and MadJax!

What: Are you interested in making your drawings or paintings more expressive and or more abstract? Do you have an inner Cubist or Expressionist inside you waiting to come out? In this 3 hour workshop offered by the Art Mart, art instructor Michael Prater will introduce participants to the thinking process associated with expressive marks and colors to make artworks more dynamic and exciting. Applicants will work with flowers as subjects and, using a combination of watercolor and oil pastels, sketching, painting, and then drawing, will create sketches and then one to two mixed media artworks.

All supplies are provided as part of the workshop fee. No artistic experience is necessary. Come with an open artistic mind and try something new with the Art Mart!
