The ghazal is a special form of poetry that lends itself to be set in a musical frame, further enhancing its emotional appeal.

Sneha Shankar hails from a family of notable musicians. She is the granddaughter of the renowned Sufi singer, Shankar. Debuting at the age of six, she has worked with many notable music directors and sung solos as well as duets with reputed singers. With a wide repertoire of genres including Hindustani classical, ghazal, Sufi and pop, Sneha has participated in major reality shows and sung for Hindi films besides releasing independent albums.

Kaamod Subhash was trained by his father, Subhash Arbedwar, a well-known ghazal singer and composer. A postgraduate in music, Kaamod consciously follows the styles of some celebrated ghazal singers of yesteryear. Over the years, he has had the opportunity to perform within and outside India, on several prestigious platforms including national television channels. As a composer, he has been engaged in various interesting projects and albums. Having proficiency in Urdu, Hindi and Marathi, his performances have earned him many awards and accolades.

In this concert, both artists will individually present classic as well as popular ghazals immortalised by legendary singers like Mehdi Hasan, Ghulam Ali, Begum Akhtar and others.
