On the occasion of the 25th death anniversary of the legendary Marathi icon and beloved "Bhai" – P. L. Deshpande – we present "Pulakit Swar", a unique musical tribute that explores his deep connection with music.
The programme will also pay homage to the musical legends close to his heart, including Bal Gandharva, Vasantrao Deshpande, Pt. Bhimsen Joshi, Kumar Gandharva, and Manik Varma. It will feature timeless melodies written and composed by him – Maaze Jeevan Gaane, Indrayani Kathi, Hasale Mani Chandane etc – performed live.
And of course, his trademark humour will light up the stage through dramatic readings of his iconic comedic pieces.
"Pulakit Swar" is more than just a performance – it’s a heartfelt homage to P. L. Deshpande, the composer, the music lover, and the eternal artist.
