Join us this summer for a captivating Artist Showcase at The Fort! Each weekend we will feature a different talented artist displaying and selling their work exclusively at our historic venue.

July 11-12: Merlin Little Thunder Showcase

Merlin Little Thunder is from Tulsa, OK and is an enrolled member of the Southern Cheyenne tribe. Merlin has painted professionally since 1980. His art is based on his memories of growing up in the Cheyenne community and of Fonda, on family stories, and his involvement with the Cheyenne ceremonies. He has painted professionally since 1980, winning numerous awards for his work, especially in the miniature category. His work can be divided in two subject areas: realistic landscapes with images of Cheyenne people from the turn of the century; and medicine paintings dealing with spiritual matters.

Experience the rich artistic heritage of the West with an array of Spanish, Native American, and Western artists, each bringing their unique style and storytelling to life through their creations. Whether you're an art enthusiast or simply looking for a one-of-a-kind piece to take home, this is a wonderful opportunity to engage with local and regional artists in a stunning setting.
