Colonial Beach Camping Weekend 2025

Dreaming of a fun weekend filled with training and camping with fellow triathletes? If so, join us for the our first camping weekend of the year! Training will be on the Colonial Beach Tri courses, so if you are registered for that event, then it will be an excellent opportunity to check out the course!

All levels are welcome, and group trainings will accommodate different paces/difficulties. It's a great opportunity to practice open water swim skills.

The basic schedule for the weekend:

• Friday: arrival
• Saturday: morning biking with optional brick run, afternoon swim, evening cookout
• Sunday morning ride/run options

Please note: This is a CAMPING weekend, and you will need to bring a tent and other camping gear. The organizers will help facilitate gear-sharing and carpooling.

W e do have a small number of slots for guests/non-club members, but everyone who is participating needs to have their own reservation.

Like all DC Tri events, the camping weekend is a volunteer-run event. Help us make it a success by registering for a volunteer slot! Roles include car support during the bike rides (SAG), smore's executive chef (SEC), ride leaders, run lead, and OWS kayak support (kayak can be provided).
