Hannah Rarity Trio at Montrose Folk Club

Award-winning Singer and Songwriter, Hannah Rarity, will perform for the Audience at Montrose Playhouse, together with her Trio of virtuoso guitarist, Innes White, and also Anna Massie of Blazing Fiddles on fiddle and guitar.

Hannah Rarity has made a lasting impression on the Scottish Music world, since winning the title of BBC Young Traditional Musician of the Year at the Celtic Connections festival in Glasgow in 2018. Thereafter, she went on to tour internationally with leading bands, such as Blazing Fiddles, Rura, Niteworks and New York Irish legends, Cherish The Ladies.

Both of the Albums released by Hannah Rarity, ” Neath the Gloaming Star” in 2018 and ” To Have You Near” in 2022 have been shortlisted for the Album of the Year Award at the BBC Alba Scottish Music Awards. Through her performance of a carefully chosen programme of contemporary, self-penned and traditional material, Hannah Rarity has earned comparisons with the likes of Eva Cassidy and Cara Dillon, whilst standing confidently in her own right.
