Dope Caesar, born Sarah Oboh, is a rising Nigerian DJ known for her innovative mixes that blend various genres, creating unique musical experiences. Her journey into DJing began in 2017 when she discovered a DJ controller in her father’s room and started exploring its possibilities. Initially self-taught through YouTube tutorials, she drew inspiration from DJs like DJ Puffy from Barbados, aiming to emulate his creative style.
Her career gained significant momentum in 2022 with a viral mix that broke the internet seamlessly combined Brick & Lace’s “Love is Wicked” with Victony’s “Soweto,” captivating audiences and expanding her reach. This exposure led to performances at notable events, including the ART X Live! showcase at ART X Lagos, where she shared the stage with artists like Azekel and Tay Iwar.
Through her dynamic performances and innovative approach to DJing, Dope Caesar continues to make a significant impact on Africa's evolving music landscape.
