Friends of DTMC Luncheon - University of Missouri Rural MO Stories Session

Join researchers from the University of Missouri for a presentation of findings, community chat, and photovoice display featuring their study on rural life in Missouri conducted in 2023-2024.

Researchers will offer a short presentation of their findings with a focus on rural identity and its varied experiences, struggles and limited opportunities for rural Missourians, and social infrastructure and its role in community well-being

Afterward, there will be time to engage with the research team in an open conversation to share thoughts, ask questions, and discuss how the research aligns with your community’s experiences and goals.

This event also offers a photovoice display of five key photos taken by participants in the study. These photos highlight the key themes and stories shared by residents and offer a visual representation of the challenges and strengths in rural Missouri.
