Sunday Solo Session Ft Tash Zappala

Tasha Zappala is a singer-songwriter, sound artist and researcher based in nipaluna, lutruwita/Tasmania. Originally from thul garrie waja/gurrumbilbarra, North Queensland, Tasha has toured extensively within Australia and internationally, as a solo performer and within a number of multi-disciplinary projects. Currently a PhD candidate at the University of Tasmania, her research project “Songwriting and Sound,” is focused on the use of field recordings in contemporary contexts and creative response to environmental sound. When not serenading, she spends her time in the southern woods making billypots of beans, drinking tea and capturing field recordings.
