Dates: Sundays, starting April 27-July 13
(There is no volunteering on the dates June 1, June 22, and July 6th)
Time: 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.
Location: Fort Missoula Native Plant Garden
Note: Free, all ages welcomed, no dogs please
The beautiful Native Plant Garden at Fort Missoula could use volunteers to W**d, transplant plants out of the walkways and prune shrubs. Volunteering is available Sunday mornings from 9:00-11:00 a.m. and you can pop in and out any time during that period. We will supply the gloves and tools but if you have your own feel free to bring them. In addition to working, you can learn about the plants, birds and ecology of the garden from Elena Ulev, the Garden Manager.
Volunteer days begin April 27th and will be most Sundays until July 13. After July 13th, volunteering will start back up again in the fall, depending on conditions. Stay tuned for updates.
APRIL 27th is Volunteer Kick Off! A new growing season has begun and there are lots of ways to help out in the beautiful and tranquil Native Plant Garden at Fort Missoula. We will meet at the garden to see what projects need to be done for the next several months from pruning shrubs to transplanting plants and weeding.

Directions to the Garden
Head west on Third and turn left (south) onto Reserve. After ~1 mile, turn right on South Ave. Turn left on Old Fort Rd. (at the blue Hospital sign), go a few blocks to the T in the road and head right on Fort Missoula Road. Pass by the golf course until you get to a stop sign; keep going forward (the road kind of angles left) to the T in the road and take a left (onto H Rd). Drive to the end of this road and take a left, and you’ll see the garden and the white garden classroom with green trim ahead on your right. Basically, just head towards the big silver water tower—the garden is a little ways to the north and west of the water tower.
