Music in the Parks: Junior & the Jukes

Since 1892, Music in the Parks has provided residents and families opportunities to gather and enjoy local music throughout the summer. Since its inception thousands of free concerts have taken place. Concerts are weekly and vary from classic rock, hip hop, international, funk and many more genres of music.

This week at the Lake Harriet Bandshell we are hosting Junior & the Jukes, a rhythm and blues band. A fun and fiery blues trio hailing from the Twin Cities, Junior and the Jukes is made up of seasoned music veterans who bring decades of groove and grit to the stage. The three players in the band have over 100 years of musical experience and Junior's former band, The RedHot Blues played many shows for our troops, including the Balkans, Japan and an unforgettable tour of Iraq in 2004.
