What is Pani Puri?
Pani Puri (also called Golgappa or Puchka in different regions of India) is one of India’s most popular street foods.
It consists of small, round, hollow, crispy shells (puri) that are filled with a spicy, tangy flavored water (pani), mashed potatoes, chickpeas, and chutneys.
You eat it in one bite, so the flavors—spicy, tangy, and slightly sweet—burst in your mouth all at once.
It’s more of an experience than just a snack because you usually eat several in a row, freshly made by the vendor.
What are Mawa Modaks?
Mawa Modaks are a traditional Indian sweet, especially popular during the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi.
A Modak is a dumpling-like sweet believed to be Lord Ganesha’s favorite.
Mawa (also called khoya) is made by slowly reducing milk until it becomes thick and creamy. This forms the base of the sweet.
These modaks are shaped like a small cone or dome and often stuffed with a rich mixture of nuts like almonds, cashews, and pistachios.
They’re soft, rich, and melt-in-the-mouth, with a mildly sweet, milky flavor.
