Killarney’s Time Attack powered by MasterDrive is back, on Saturday 20 September – and you’re invited!
Contestants run solo, starting at 30 second intervals. The start procedure is also unique: the contestants will make a standing start when the flag is dropped but timing will only begin when they cross the timing line, about 10 metres from the start line.
Time Attack racing is like a Formula 1 qualifying lap; it requires intense concentration and precision car control, and you have to be totally focused from the moment the lights go out – there’s no warm-up!
The Time Attack course has been designed to provide exciting spectator viewing, with a superb view of the start from the Clubhouse balcony and most of the course visible from the stands on the Tygerberg straight and at Damp’s Dip and Castrol corners.
