The MAAA is pleased to welcome Chris Pettman once again as she leads you in a creative and relaxing beginner watercolor class.
To start, you will be given a watercolor starter kit consisting of a large paint pallet, a brush set and watercolor paper to paint on. Before you begin painting this whimsical dragonfly, Chris will go over some fundamental watercolor concepts to get you started.
After painting the colorful dragonfly numerous times, you’ll pick your best one and place it in a black frame. Your unique work of art can be hung on a wall or stood on a countertop. You might want to gift it to someone special!
But that's not all!
Next you will paint a set of 4 dragonfly notecards that come with matching envelopes. You can use the cards to send heart-felt notes, as the cards will be blank inside.
Chris is pleased to offer this beginner class to help you start your watercolor journey, then sending you off with the supplies needed to continue that journey at home. Who knows, this might become your new passion!
Ages 12+ are welcome. The deadline to register is July 7th.
