Using indigo dye and various folding techniques, you'll craft stunning, one-of-a-kind patterns on fabric.
By the end of the session, you’ll take home your own hand-dyed fabric pieces—perfect for keeping or gifting.

We welcome all experience levels—no prior textile or dyeing knowledge is required. And remember, you're always welcome to return for additional classes to continue the dyeing fun!
Materials Provided:
- A handout with all the information you need to learn about Indigo Shibori Dyeing!
- Everything you need to create beautiful designs
- A tea towel or large cotton napkin
- A cotton tote bag
- Option to purchase additional items at cost to dye
What You'll Learn:
A brief, fun history of indigo and Shibori dyeing
Hands-on demonstrations of folding and wrapping techniques like Itajime (square and triangle), Kumo, Ne-maki, and Arashi
Guidance on dipping your fabric to achieve the perfect shade, with tips on multiple dips for deeper tones
Aftercare instructions for your dyed fabrics to maintain your creations for years to come
What to Bring:
Clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting stained (aprons and gloves will be provided)
Plastic bags for carrying home your wet items, as they won’t have time to fully dry during the class
