WORKSHOP DI DRY FELTING – DRITTO AL CU(♥)RE

Rigenerare, curare e trasformare con il dry felting

Denise Bonapace è designer, docente e consulente. La sua progettualità intreccia collezioni, installazioni e opere artistiche nell’ambito della sostenibilità e della produzione etica. Pioniera del design responsabile, ha presentato progetti tra Pitti Uomo, Palazzo Reale e festival internazionali, fino a fondare ABITARIO, collettivo femminile dedicato all’upcycling e alla cura degli abiti.

Per MADEBACK, il 15 ottobre al mattino, Denise Bonapace insieme a Federica Vacca professoressa associata e co-founder del Fashion in Process Lab, Politecnico di Milano, guideranno il workshop DRITTO AL CU(♥)RE, un’esperienza

laboratoriale sul tema della “cura” applicata agli indumenti. Ai partecipanti verrà chiesto di portare un proprio capo di maglieria amato e usurato e di scrivergli una lettera: un gesto per riscoprire il valore affettivo che lega corpi e abiti.

Da qui prenderà forma un percorso di trasformazione: dopo un momento di confronto progettuale, verranno introdotte e applicate le tecniche di feltro a secco con lana cardata, per rigenerare i capi e dare loro nuove possibilità. Ogni partecipante porterà a casa il proprio indumento reinventato, insieme a competenze pratiche utili per interventi futuri.

Il workshop è gratuito e a posti limitati.

Regenerate, care for, and transform through dry felting

Denise Bonapace is a designer, lecturer, and consultant. Her work spans collections, installations, and artistic projects focused on sustainability and ethical production. A pioneer in responsible design, she has presented projects at Pitti Uomo, Palazzo Reale, and international festivals, and founded ABITARIO, a women’s collective dedicated to upcycling and garment care.

For MADEBACK, on the morning of October 15, Denise Bonapace together with Federica Vacca, Associate Professor and co-founder of the Fashion in Process Lab, Politecnico di Milano, will lead DRITTO AL CU(♥)RE, a hands-on workshop dedicated to the concept of “care” in relation to clothing. Participants are invited to bring their own pre-loved and timeworn knit garment and write it a letter, a symbolic act to rediscover the emotional bond between body and clothes.

From this starting point, the workshop will guide participants through a process of transformation: after a short design session, they will learn and apply the technique of dry felting with carded wool, regenerating their piece into something new. Each participant will take home their reimagined garment, along with practical skills for future interventions.

The workshop is free with limited seats.

Ciascun partecipante dovrà portare / Each participant should bring:

• un capo di maglieria personale e amato / a personal and cherished knitwear garment
• forbice personale / personal scissors
• centimetro da sarta / tailor’s measuring tape
• quaderno e matita (matite colorate) per la fase progettuale / notebook and pencil (colored pencils) for the design phase

A ciascun partecipante verrà fornito / Each participant will be provided with:

• aghi da feltro / felting needles
• gommapiuma 20 x 20 cm, altezza 10 cm / foam block 20 x 20 cm, height 10 cm
• lana cardata / carded wool
• aghi da ricamo / embroidery needles
• uncinetto / crochet hook
• fili / threads
• spille da balia / safety pins
• filo elastico / elastic thread
• spilli / pins
