Tapping In: Craft Beer Education For Women is a group-class designed to empower and educate women about the world of craft beer in a welcoming, inclusive, and community-focused environment. The class blends education, tasting, and conversation, creating a space where women can confidently explore the craft beer industry from grain to glass.
Tapping In serves both beginners and intermediate enthusiasts, offering a blend of beer education, sensory training, and industry insights. The name plays on the dual ideas of tapping into knowledge and the act of tapping a keg, symbolizing access and connection.
-Beer 101 Education: Learn about beer styles, brewing processes, ingredients (like hops, malts, yeast, and water), and flavor profiles.
-Tasting Sessions: Guided tastings with an emphasis on palate development, beer and food pairings, and sensory development.
-"Her"story of Beer: Explore the often-overlooked role of women in the history and evolution of beer culture.
-Brewery Spotlights: Guest speakers or collaborations with local women-led breweries and industry professionals.
-Safe, Supportive Space: Cultivating an environment where women can ask questions, share experiences, and grow their confidence in navigating craft beer spaces.
**We will hold new classes usually the first Wednesday of the month, and our first class will be July 9 at 6:30 pm. You can attend any, or all, of the classes that interest you. No registration necessary. There will be a $10 fee for the class and will include beer tasting and snacks.
