Through a partnership with Ortho Rhode Island, South County Hospital is a global leader in robotic-assisted orthopedic surgeries, and is home to more robotic-assisted options than any other hospital in the state.

The Center for Advanced Orthopedic Surgery opened in summer of 2022, bringing Ortho Rhode Island’s world-class orthopedics, sports medicine, physical therapy, and occupational therapy services to the South County Hospital campus. Building on the unique, ongoing partnership between South County Health and Ortho Rhode Island, the new Center for Advanced Orthopedic Surgery offers patients minimally invasive procedures such as arthroscopy, robotic-assisted surgery, and joint replacements.
