Starter Swimmers: Introduction & Water Acclimation w/ Parent

Summer is officially here! �
Grab your bundle of joy and jump into the Starter Swimmers Class beginning July 1st @ 11:30am for infants age 2-10 months.

This "Mommy & Me" type class (for Dads or Grandparents too!) is designed as an opportunity for parents and their infants to get in the water and experience the first steps of water safety.

Water on the face can be a weird sensory experience for babies. They will need to learn how to hold their breath when water is near their nose and mouth. Then they will learn to get air when it is clear. Water may feel strange when their eyes get wet. They will need to learn to blink the water away to see again. Their ears may fill but within moments they will be able to hear again.

Helping a child tolerate these sensations from early on will help their experience in survival swim lessons. An observation of self-rescue lessons is also encouraged to give a view of the program in action! This class is scheduled 1x week for 4 weeks on Tuesdays @ 1130am. Only registration fee is due at booking ($80) and class tuition is free!
