This is a difficult trail (8/10 on onX) so this run will not be beginner friendly. Meet location is the NW corner of the Bashas’ parking lot near the gas station on Ellsworth & Brown. We will make a stop at the trailhead to allow everyone to air down. While on the trail, we will briefly stop at Sunflower Mine for a break and to give everyone a chance to check out the abandoned mining equipment.
• Radios required for every rig, no exceptions. We will be on GMRS / FRS channel 7. I have a couple spares if anybody needs to borrow one.
• It's going to be hot, so plan accordingly. Bring a cooler with plenty of cold drinks. It's a good idea to bring some lunch too as this may be a long run that takes most of the day.
• Expect narrow and rutted sections, a very rocky creek bed, and steep climbs.
• I do this trail in my JL on 35s with a 2.5in lift and rock sliders. You should have at least something that matches or exceeds the capability of mine. You may need to stack a couple rocks if you don't want to risk scraping your rock sliders. Have a full tank of fuel and a full size spare tire.
