Do you know where Fussville, Wisconsin once was located? Did you know this thriving little community had its own brewery in the 1800s? Well, don't "fuss" about any of these questions as Carole McGibany, local Fussville researcher, will answer both of these questions and share stories about the brewery, Fussville's Vogl's Tavern, and its connection to another once successful brewery in nearby Germantown.
Sharing the spotlight with Carole will be Henry Hecker, long time member of the Milwaukee Antique Bottle and Advertising Club (MABAC). Henry will share his passionate interest in collecting and talking about the evolution of the beer bottle from 1840-1900 with an opportunity for some show and tell afterwards.
This event is part of Recollections, a series of programs related to Menomonee Falls history and beyond. Stay on the lookout for more events on our website and future issues of Storyteller.
