In August 2017 the West Central Valley Community lost a true leader. Jeff Pease was a teacher and coach for the Wildcats for 30 years. He spent many years dedicated to helping the people of Stuart and surrounding communities. Jeff was also an active member of the West Central Valley Booster Club where he did all he could to benefit the athletes of WCV. One of his greatest passions was the game of football. After leading the Wildcat football team for several years, he loved cheering on the Wildcats and of course, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Football is also one of the ways he added to his “extended family” and created many lifelong friendships.
The Jeff Pease Memorial Fund 501(c)(3) was founded to remember and honor Jeff for his leadership, guidance, and commitment to WCV and the surrounding communities. From 2018 through 2021, The Jeff Pease Flag Football Classic served as the main fundraiser for the Memorial Fund 501 and in 2022 we introduced the Jeff Pease Memorial golf classic to replace the flag football tournament. All proceeds from the Jeff Pease Flag Football Classic and Golf Classic are designated for academic scholarships in Jeff’s name for WCV seniors. To date, the Jeff Pease Memorial Fund has been able to award over $84,000 in scholarships to 89 WCV seniors.
We are ecstatic to bring back the Jeff Pease Memorial Golf Classic this year and build off the success we had last year, as it was our best fundraising year ever! Please join us for another day of fellowship and golf as we remember our teach, coach and good friend, Jeff.
