Hello. My name is Pam Heino.
Several years ago, I started a “comfort care closet” Two Rivers High School.
If you aren’t familiar with the term, a “comfort care closet” is a place where students who are in need can go to get basic hygiene essentials that they may need, for whatever reason.
I will be collecting items on Wednesday, August 27 from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. in the POOL parking lot at Two Rivers. This is also the same evening as the open house, so it’s a great time to donate!!
If you can’t make it that evening, but would like to donate, contact me and we can work something out.
The items listed below are what we stock the closet with:
Soap/body wash
Deodorant (male & female)
Shampoo & Conditioner
Toothbrushes, toothpaste and dental floss
Lotion
Razors and shaving cream
Tampons & pads
Laundry soap & dryer sheets
Toilet paper
This closet will be monitored and run by the school’s family services workers.
I urge you to consider donating to this very worthy cause. Without donations, this closet is simply not possible.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Pam Heino
