Join us as we celebrate the newly restored 90-year-old Aeolian Skinner (G. Donald Harrison) with an inspiring concert played by world-renowned organist Todd Wilson. Wilson is head of the Organ Department at The Cleveland Institute of Music and Curator of the E.M. Skinner pipe organ at Severance Hall in Cleveland, OH.
Wilson will play many audience favorites including Bach's Passacaglia, transcriptions of Danny Boy and music from Bizet's opera Carmen, and Widor's famous Toccata from the Fifth Organ Symphony. Wilson will also play a piece from the original dedication service in 1935: Franck's Chorale in A Minor.
The organ restoration process began in May 2023 with a significant number of pipes being stolen. All of them were recovered. Come hear them in their glory! The concert is free, and a gala reception will follow, sponsored by the families of Laurie & Brooks Monypeny and Ellie & Josh Hardison.
