Red Sand Project 2025

Restore Corps by Freed Life and Memphis Area Transit Authority (MATA) are proud to partner each year to host the Red Sand Project.

Join us on Tuesday, July 29th at 11 AM at the MATA Airways Station (3033 Airways Blvd) for our 2025 Red Sand Project!

The Red Sand Project is a nationwide art project started by artist Molly Gochman in 2014. The project’s approach is symbolic, with the grains of sand representing those individuals who fall through the cracks. Today, people from over 60 countries participate in the Red Sand Project.

This collective art project represents the idea that collaboration and taking action as a community is more impactful than working alone.
