Honoring Liza’s Memory – 8.2 Mile Sunrise Run/Walk
In the early hours of that morning, Liza was doing something she loved, running.
This run/walk is our way to honor her life, retrace the path she took, and stand together in the belief that all women should be able to run safely at any time of day.
The route is 8.2 miles, following the course Liza ran. It begins at Immaculate Conception Cathedral (Central & Belvedere), goes down to the University of Memphis at Central & Zach Curlin Street, and returns to the Cathedral.
Because we want everyone to be safely finished by sunrise, we will start promptly at 4:20am. Please arrive by 4:00am.
This is not a race. It’s not a fundraiser. There is no money being collected, and no one should be soliciting donations. This is about remembrance, solidarity, and community.
