Commemorate the 100th anniversary of Tom Lee's heroic rescue while honoring this year's poetry winners.

About this Event

Join Memphis River Parks Partnership in commemorating the 100th anniversary of Tom Lee's heroic rescue. Gather with us on Thursday, May 8 at 2:00 p.m. on the second floor of Cossitt Library (33 S. Front St.) for a special celebration of courage, generosity and humanity.

What to expect:

  • Be among the first to experience Shine On: The Story of Tom Lee—a powerful new short film by Last Bite Films.
  • Celebrate the voices of today as we honor the high school winners of the fourth annual Tom Lee Poetry & Spoken Word Contest.
  • Parking is available at Metro 67 Garage (60 Madison Ave.) or Brinkley Plaza Garage (20 S. Front St.).

Come celebrate a legacy that still moves Memphis.
