✥
Before the great floods, she wandered the lands.
When everything we know is gone, she will remain.
She is Earth, She is ancestor.
We have not forgotten her stories.
✥
An evening of song and story, traditions and transformation.
Cailleach is a doom-folk duo featuring hypnotic vocals, guitar, Scottish smallpipes, and live looping in a powerful sound inspired by the likes of Lankum, Brighde Chaimbeul, and Eoghan O Ceannabhain. Cailleach explores the shadows of colonial Australia: what it means to belong to a stolen land, the wrecking of culture and climate, and ancestral songs of resistance, grief, and healing.
